Work With Me
NUTRITION & LIFESTYLE COACHING

The approach taken by Nutritional Therapy Practitioners is individual, personalised and tailored to each person, based on their medical history and presenting symptoms. You will be offered personalised lifestyle advice which is tailored to your individual health needs and health goals. This includes carefully chosen dietary recommendations, practical meal suggestions and recipes as well as tips on how to incorporate the changes into your lifestyle.
Your Nutritional Therapist will work with you to devise a meal plan that is nutritionally balanced, practical, enjoyable and sustainable. If any foods need to be reduced or eliminated for a period of time, they will suggest viable alternatives that will maintain nutritional needs.
A HOLISTIC APPROACH
What is Functional & Lifestyle Medicine?
A key aspect of the functional and lifestyle medicine approach is not treating the illness or symptoms but instead using a holistic approach. We assess the whole person including genetic predispositions, plus modifiable factors of: food intake, lifestyle, stress, sleep habits and support networks. Functional medicine looks to the root cause of disease and helps to restore health by making gradual changes to your diet and lifestyle. It promotes the benefits of good, wholesome, unprocessed foods for optimal well-being, as well as the therapeutic effects of particular foods for specific health conditions.

Where necessary, we may also prescribe natural supplements in safe doses e.g. probiotics and/or vitamins and minerals to help alleviate certain symptoms or optimise nutritional status. However, food is always the main part of the protocol.
All new patients are invited to attend an introductory ‘how can we help’ call – this helps us match your needs with the services we offer. These calls are complimentary and will generally take arounds 15mins.
The calls can be via telephone or video, you can select your preference when completing a very short form we ask you to fill out online in advance. This helps us maximise the call for you. Following the call you may decide to book in for a full consultation.

Follow-ups are suggested, to allow you to seek additional support, as well as for us to assess any changes in your symptom or condition. These 30 minute appointments are usually booked for 4-8 weeks later, subject to your individual situation. We strongly recommend you book at least one follow up, this allows us to review your progress and make any alterations. In some cases it may be an external factor has influenced the ability to adhere to a plan or reach your goals, and so this is a great opportunity to review and amend accordingly. Equally if you have made great progress we can update with new goals.
